Zapier — help

Connecting your account

    Create an account and top up your balance

    Every text is billed from your Smart-Copy balance — there is no separate Zapier subscription. Without funds the Create Text action returns an “insufficient_balance” error.

    Add a Smart-Copy step in the Zap editor

    Search for “Smart-Copy” and pick a trigger or an action. The app is in the public directory — no invite code needed.

    Connect your account with Sign in

    You will see the Smart-Copy consent screen listing the permissions Zapier asks for. The grant covers your account and you can revoke it at any time.

    Revoking access

    In the Smart-Copy dashboard: the menu under your e-mail → Integrations → Connected applications → Revoke. Zaps stop working the moment you revoke.

What each step does

New Completed Text Trigger

Fires for every finished text. The output carries the full HTML, the title, the character count, the image (if one was ordered) and the WordPress published link.

New Failed Text Trigger

Fires when a generation fails. Funds return to your balance automatically — the trigger is there to notify you, not to recover money.

Create Text Action

Orders a text: topic, length, type (9 of them), language, keywords, sources, guidelines, an AI image and WordPress publication — immediately, as a draft or scheduled. The site is picked from your connected sites.

Find Text Search

Checks the status and result of a text by its identifier — usually from an earlier Create Text step.

Billing

Zapier charges you nothing for our app, and we have no subscription. Every text ordered through a Zap is billed from your Smart-Copy balance at the same price as in the dashboard. A failed generation refunds the funds automatically — you do not have to ask.

When something breaks

The Create Text step fails with a balance error

The account has no funds for a text that long. Top up in the dashboard; the price depends on the character count and drops for longer texts.

The trigger does not fire

Triggers poll: Zapier asks us every few minutes, so a text does not show up the very second it finishes. Also check that the Zap is on and that the text really is finished in the dashboard.

The WordPress site list is empty

The Create Text step pulls sites connected to your account. Connect one in the dashboard (Integrations → WordPress sites), then refresh the field in the Zap editor.

The connection stopped working

Usually access was revoked on our side or the account was deleted. Reconnect with Sign in in the Zap editor.

The text came out shorter than ordered

Length is a target, not a per-character guarantee. We bill the ordered length, not the generated one.
